SESAME web site disappeared along with system reorganizations at ISTerre.
We resurected it at http://sesame.geopsy.org

Re: Problem while running binaries after installation

Can you post the result of 'ldd geopsy'?
It prints the library dependency of any library or executable.
There is probably a conflict between different Qt libraries.

Re: Uninstall for Mountain Lion Development [20130403]

The graphical uninstaller may fail. Here is a work around. Under Mac OS X, you can remove geospy software by deleting /Applications/Geopsy.org /Library/Geopsy.org To remove geopsy completely, there also some settings saved in your user profile. This is not needed if you just want to re-install. Unde...

Why linear array are not appropriate for ambient vibrations

Often, this question has been a topic of hard debates since the publication of REMI technique by J. Louie (2001). Geopsy provides a tool for passive linear arrays but I would like to explain in this post why I do not recommend a general usage of this method. This is my own opinion but generally shar...

Re: dinver tuning parameters

You'll find a complete description of these parameters in Sambidge 1999 Sambridge, M., "Geophysical inversion with a neighbourhood algorithm –I. Searching a parameter space", Geophys. J. Int. (1999) 138, 479-494 itmax is the number of iterations to run ns0 is the number of models to genera...

Re: Ä°nstallation Problem

There must be a package available for Mandriva that contain fftw library. Install the rpm package first and then restart geopsy compilation.

Re: compilation on fedora 64-bit

For the testing release, I remember to have fix this issue a week or two ago. This is ready for release 2.6.0 to be publish soon. For the development tree, I've never encounter this error. Can you tell me which gcc release you are running? Just a try. Can you edit file GpCoreTools/src/CoreApplicatio...

Everything implemented in gpell is documented in my phd thesis available at http://marc.geopsy.org/publications.html, and precisely at http://marc.geopsy.org/thesis/node61.html.

Re: SEG2 import

Did you try with the testing release?
There are a number of feature that are not working properly in the devel snapshots. I'm trying to fix most of them, but it takes time.

If it does not succeed with testing release, you can post or send me a sample file. I'll try to check what's wrong.

Re: Running Dinver using Vs refraction traveltime data

Thanks for your report and the dinver file. First answer, you got an blank screen because there is no arrival time curves specified in the target attached to your run_01. The current target contains effectively the arrival time curves but you probably add them after the creation of run_01. At the ti...

Re: doubt in geopsy

Di you switch to "No common time reference (leave T0 as is)" in the load preferences? By default, geopsy is dedicated to absolute time records, which is not the case for such experiment. With this option, Time Reference (look at signals in a table) contains the date of acquisition (accordi...

Re: Noise Reduction (signal stacking)

Stacked signals are just temporary signals like any other generated by wavefrom processing (filter, tapering,...). Save the database or export them to a specified format.

No there are no restriction. Check that sufficient recording time is available compared to the time window requested.

Re: Database and Groups

Either you can export the filtered signal to the format of your choice (menu File/Export), or you can simply save your database keeping the window containing the filtered signal open. If you close it, the modified signals are automatically purged from the current database.
