Re: Dealing with uncertainty

Hi, The "best" approach would be importance sampling proposed among others by Sambridge, 1999b (GJI). However, our many tries to apply such approach drove to unsatisfactory results. The probability density function is approximated on the NA grid cells and computed from the misfit. The full...

Re: Export DINVER results to an csv or text

gpdcreport run_01.report Prints to terminal all models contained in run_01.report (binary files produced by Dinver). gpdcreport run_01.report -best 2 Prints to terminal only the two best models (with the lowest misfit). gpdcreport run_01.report -best 2 | gpprofile -vs Same job but output the Vs pro...

Re: serrated curve in linear f-k

Hi, This is probably due to a rather short time window which results into a large sampling interval on the Fourier spectrum. You can choose a larger time window (second tab in toolbox) even larger then the available data. Geopsy will set all missing sample to 0 (zero-padding). It will make the spect...

Re: dinver crashes when higher mode is selected

I guess that it is now too late to investigate this problem. However if you are still facing the same issue, can you copy the crash report here? The facility to collect crash reports has been buggy for while now. I should repair it.

Re: Running inversions from command line

Sorry for the late answer but it might be of interest for you or others. Effectively dinver can be started from the command line. You have to build a .param and a .target file exported from the graphical user interface or from other command line tools like gptarget. dinver-i DispersionCurve -optimiz...

Re: dinver first use

If so, it may be linked to corrupted or multiple dinver installations that generate conflicts. You can try to uninstall and clean everything related to Geopsy.org. Re-install everything. Another way needs you to start dinver from a terminal. Under Windows, you have to open the MS-DOS console or down...

Re: poisson ratio profile

Go to report directory where dinver saves its .report file:

gpdcreport run_01.report -m 1 | gpprofile -nu | figue -mc

To convert Vp, Vs to Poisson's ratio and vice-versa, you can have a look at gppoisson

Re: geopsytfa and geopsy are separate or they are integated together in geopsy?

Hi HVTFA is not working properly on 'testing' release. You have to use the 'devel' release. There is a 'output directory' at the bottom of the toolbox. geopsytfa is a different plugin to compute time-frequency plots bases also on Morlet wavelet. Both components are plugins to geopsy. They are integr...

Re: Geopsy crash

You are probably using Snow Leopard or another build on a recent Max OS X system. I'm currently working on porting Geopsy to Qt 5 which is the necessary condition to have a working release for Yosemite or El Capitan. I cannot promise a fixed release day now but it will come soon. Meanwhile the only ...

Re: waveform script possible bug

For your second message with HV plugin, I cannot reproduce the problem. I tested it with the "testing" branch (2.9.0). The output are not overwritten if you answer 'No', the default answer. If you want to force overwrite in all cases, write: echo 'yes' | geopsy 1.mseed -tool geopsyhv -slot...

Re: waveform script possible bug

Hi Alexei,

Thanks for your bug report. I've just fixed the problems related to your first message. It will be available for next releases (both testing and devel). The problem is fixed for all script functions that use time range (cut, taper,...).

Re: Extracting rings and observed auto curves

gptarget is supposed to do that job, but this tool is still partially written. Most options are dedicated to dispersion curves. Currently you can explore the contents of the file itself: tar xvfpz your_spac.target iconv -f UTF16 -t UTF8 contents.xml > contents-utf8.xml cat contents-utf8.xml | grep -...

Re: compilation on fedora 64-bit

All these errors have been implemented under current "testing" release (2.7.0). The snapshots of "devel" release have all these fixes implemented for a long time.
