Re: Selection of thousand random profile

If there are less than 1000 models with a misfit below 1, you will get less than 1000 profiles. It was a bit unclear in the help message from gpdcreport: I fixed it. With '-n 1000', only the first 1000 models will be out. Combined with '-m 1', only the first 1000 models with a misfit less than 1. Th...

Re: Love wave Dispersion curve

To get Love dispersion curve from ambient vibrations, you must process 3-component recordings. Various alternatives are: ⋅ Three component SPAC (Köhler et al., Geophysical Journal International, 2007). It is implemented in Geopsy but undocumented. It will soon evolve. ⋅  WaveDec ...

Re: difference between Intel and AMD

Are you 100% sure that you did the same computations? The naming of the shots are different in your Intel and AMD plots. Are they really processed on the same data set? On the AMD plot, I can see typical features encountered when time windows are too short (sparse frequency sampling in the FFT). A c...

Re: GEOPSY App Scaling on High DPI Displays for Windows systems (problem FIX)

Geopsy has been recently built against Qt 5.12 on Windows 10. I would be curious if this latest release still faces the same problem with high DPI. Thanks for your tips for the old releases. It will be available soon (a week or so).

Re: SPAC cannot work

Yes, this is an open issue with latest snapshots.
It will be fixed soon, normally for the beginning of next year.
Meanwhile, the legacy releases must be used (2.5.0 to 2.10.0)

Re: Installation problem

Hi,

You probably installed a recent snapshot on the devel branch. The needed module are currently broken and I hope to recover them as soon as possible (time is missing). To get a full list of all modules try the snapshot release from January 2017.

Re: crash

Hi, I have also this crash on exit of some applications packed with geopsy. Because it never happen while working, I've not spent time yet on trying to fix it. But effectively this is annoying. I get it also on latest snapshots. It will be certainly fixed for the next major release, 3... and probabl...

Re: problem in 64 version installation

The release you choose does not contain the HV and array processing modules. They were not ready at that time. The array works better now and the HV module will be back soon in a short coming release.

Hi,

Did you try to run the installation with administrator permissions?

Re: installation problem

Hi Hossein,

I already noticed the abs() issue with gcc 6.3
Can you precise which geopsy release you tried to install?
gcc --version
qmake -v

Re: GPSH doesn't work

My suggestion will certainly not work but maybe... gpsh uses by default log scales for frequency ranges like all other gpdc, gpell,... The problem is that I'm using a Fortran code provided by Pierre-Yves Bard that support only linear distribution of samples. The overhead code is really not very clea...

Re: How to export values from Spectrum Rotate via Command Line

Hi, There is certainly a quick and dirty hack: add the export option by editing the C++ code. It would not be too long. The "testing" release is still available but is getting old and not running in some modern platforms. I'm currently doing all new developments on the "devel" br...

Re: Multiple Instances of Dispersion Curve Computation-Problem

Hi,

Normally call dispersion_curve_rayleigh is re-entrant and thus thread-safe
call dispersion_curve_init cannot be called several times (e.g. by several threads).
Can you try putting the init function before forking your multiple threads?

Re: recipe for target 'release' failed

Hi Leonard,

Are you trying to install 2.9.1 or the devel release?
For 2.9.1, Qt 4 is mandatory (4.8.7 is fine). For the devel, Qt 5 is mandatory (>5.6)
To fix the error, can send a complete log? With the few lines you sent I cannot suggest a solution.

Re: stratigrafic parameters

If you run

Code: Select all

gpdcreport your*.report -pm

You get one model per line with as many columns as the number of parameters in the .param file.
Exact format:
model index
number of parameters (even the fixed ones)
param1
param2
...
paramN
misfit
