Re: bad sampling frequency

CR alone as an end of line marker is the standard for some old systems (MacOS9, Commodore64 & 128,...) according to wikipedia. If is a systematic output of Dolang SAF files, it might be worth to send them a bug report and to fix it with a CR/LF or LF only.

Re: bad sampling frequency

Good news... I encounter the same error even with the latest release under preparation. Usually under Windows, text files have their lines that end with the two characters CR and LF. Under Linux, only LF. In your file there is only CR at the end of each line. So geopsy considers your file as a singl...

Re: bad simogram visual, 0 source FH, no Edit source

It's a kind of javascript. All details and examples are provided there

Sources are not part of the signal properties any longer. Hence the "Set header" scripts cannot change them. Instead, modify the "Event table", just one source is valid for the 48 channels if the time is consistent.

Re: bad simogram visual, 0 source FH, no Edit source

Hi Stephan, 1) Geopsy 3.x.x is working only with absolute timing (precise or not), so the default plot is like your snapshot. There is an option in "Properties/Layers/Signals/Time scale" which lets you plot relative times. Once you close the graphic viewer, options are saved for the next usage. If y...

Re: Gplivemodel - Elliptcity curve

Hi, Even though the original message is a bit old, here is an answer. You can find in my PhD , a small chapter about the ellipticity computation (section 3.2 on page 60), a side product of the dispersion curve computation. The number of papers dealing with ellipticity is now increasing, a search on ...

Re: Hidden time windows H/V

Hi Frederica, If the toolbox shows a correct number of time windows but if they are not appearing on the signal display there might be several reasons: A common mistake (which does not alter the final results) is to start the H/V tools from a table or another viewer like map or chronogram. To view t...

Re: Installation problem (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS)

Hi, reading your numerous posts, it is unclear if you are compiling under a classical Ubuntu environment or if it is linked to anaconda (I've never used it and I do not know what could be the effects on geopsy compilation. Just a prerequisite, did you installed the packages listed there ? The missin...

Re: Registration process explained...

From April 2020, activation justification has been added to the register form. Use it to provide the reason why you are registering instead of clicking on "Contact us".

The attached snapshot gives an example of valid answers to the register form.

Re: gpdc -grid option

You can adjust the velocity range by using options -vn , -vmin and -vmax It is also handy to overlay the dispersion curve found with a normal gpdc run. gpdc my.model | figue -c Save the layers for instance in my_dc.layer gpdc -grid my.model -vn 500 -vmin 200 -vmax 300 | figue -g Then, append layer m...

Re: invert phase and group dispersion curves

Hi Carol, The are at least two ways to create .target files: - from GUI, load and set your curves as you described it. Do not forget to set mode index, if it is a Rayleigh or Love curve and group/phase curve. From file menu, click on export target. - with gptarget, see "-h all" or all details. This ...

Hi Lily,

Sorry for this late answer. Did you try with the latest 3.2.2 release?

Re: SPAC processing-inversion

In spac2disp, you can select autocorr curves to be inverted directly in dinver (see Wathelet et al. 2005 in BSSA). Another technique is to manually pick the dispersion curve from the dispersion plot (right click, then pick). Save the curve from the Edit menu.

Re: H/V Curve Inversion

I fixed reading of H/V curve from geopsy into dinver. They are now properly converted to angles in degrees. I also added an option to specify if the provided ellipticity curve is an absolute or a signed value (in mode properties). These changes will be available in 3.3.0 Note that using H/V produced...

Re: Geopsy MASW changing sources BUG

Hi, Source positions are effectively no longer available with the signal properties in a table. Instead, sources are defined in a separate table ("Events"), right click in the tool bar if it does not appear. By default it is at the same level as "Files" and "Groups" tabs. Right click on the event ta...
